Recipe: Southern Red Beans & Smoked Sausage
Ingredients:
- 1 package Kountry Boys Original Smoked Sausage (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cans (15 oz) red beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice (for serving)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the Sausage – In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Smoked Sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
